 Research Abstract

Implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for secondary schools in developing countries is facing challenges that include but no limited to connectivity, storage, reliable power supply and qualified technical personnel to manage and maintain such systems. The emerging cloud computing technology become the potential to overcome these challenges. We need to conduct a study that aims to help secondary schools to face the challenges for deploying LMS in their locally owned premises through the use of clouds. In addition, we need to increase accessibility and reliability of LMS implemented for secondary schools. The study will be a case study that will be implemented in selected secondary schools in Tanzania. The findings of this study are expected to significantly contribute to tackle the knowledge gap(s) related to the approach of implementing LMS through clouds to enhance its adoption in secondary schools of developing countries.
